Participants will learn:

1. Restoration Therapy applications to therapy with children, couples, and stepfamily multi-household configurations. 
2. Family process dynamics that are different in blended families than in biological families.
3. How attachment, loss, and loyalty issues create competing attachments and barriers to family integration.
4. Practical therapeutic procedures in working with stepcouples and their children and learn how to discern traditional therapeutic interventions not suited for stepfamilies.
5. To describe the differing roles of biological parents and stepparents as they relate to raising children in stepfamilies and marital cohesion.
6. Coaching applications of these clinical principles for those who do premarital counseling, marriage education, and/or marriage ministry.
7. PLUS, participants will have opportunity to learn about Ron & Nan Deal's new book The Mindful Marriage, coauthored with Dr. Terry & Sharon Hargrave, innovators of Restoration Therapy.
